Life as a teacher!

Well, It has been a long long time since I was on here last! I have been teaching for 2 months now and I love my job! The kids are great and they make me laugh every single day... yes the job can be stressfull and alot of work, but at the end of the day all you can do is sit back and laugh about what the kids did or said.

So lets start with the Conner stories, one of my most favorite kids, 2nd grade. Conner has said some of the funniest things. We were sitting reading group and he had his hands in his pants and I said Conner you can't do that at school, and then we were fine I thought. A few minutes later, dear sweet Conner had his hands in his pants again. I said Conner that is not ok, you can't do that with your friends around... this is what I get back mid hand raised ( we have been working on shouting out) But Mrs. Stobbe I don't like it when my penis sticks to my leg!!!! I almost died of laughing and some did the other kids in our reading group. Needless to say we have had a talk along with other teachers telling Conner what is and not ok to say at school.

Then I have Brady, also 2nd grade. Loves to dance and tries his hardest to River Dance.... which is so cute and hillarous! In first grade I have another Conner who is in space half ... no 99% of the time. He is a sweetest boy but just has a hard time concentrating, so to fix the problem another teacher can up with the idea to put a kitchen timmer in front of him and give him 20 min. to do his work at a time. So here his sits chewing on his pencil tell it freys, and the eraser is gone, asked him what happend and he said he ate it. He has his work out in front of him watching the clock, sits stares realizes time is moving freaks out in his seat and works, and does it again and again. Which watching him just makes you laugh so hard. But needless to say all his work gets done and the pencil gets eaten!

I will keep you more up to date as the stories unravel!

My Best!

Where has the Summer gone?

So I was thinking to myself last night that it is alomst freaking September! Where has the time gone? I know I haven't been on in a while so let me catch you up on what we have been doing. Since I got my teaching job, I have been in training no stop since the begining of August, and house sitting, working on my masters, which take a lot of my time. So when I get home I can finally breathe. It has been a battle to get used to the fact that once again I have no time for fun! Kyle has been working quite a bit as well, like always. His boss is really pushing them to finish projects be for the rain hit, and we all know being in Oregon is like every five minutes. So with both of us so busy, finding time is kinda hard. Well I have to go pick up some flowers to take to Kyles brothers wedding reception, and yet again work on something else. I try to get better at posting more!
Much Love

Navy Days

WOW, is really all i can say after the day that I have had! After a long day a work, workouts, cleaning and the phone I am done! Half of the day i have spent on the phone with my family talking about this weekend. This weekend is going the be the ash spreading of my Papa off of his boat in the Columbia, so he can "travel" to the pacific ocean and be with his buddies from the Navy days! This is amazing to me, i have never done something like this before, fulfilling someones wishes. Although it has been quite some time, i still miss him everyday. I miss him more even over stupid things, but mostly when something big happened in my life I would just love to hear his voice again. Well anyways all the family is in town, and my Nana is also moving in to her new place Sunday, so having her get rid of everything and downsize is hard and alot of work (hence the phone calls). All of this happened so fast, but its a good thing. I think this weekend is when it is really going to settle in that Papa is gone, it has just felt like he has been on vacation. I think it will settle in more because we won't be going to Papa and Nana's anymore, it will just be Nana's. I know everything will work out but i just can't help with the hurt in my heart.

All i am going to do now is relax with my book, drink a glass or two of wine and slow down. Try to think about the good, and mot worry about the bad. Its time to snuggle with the kitty's and chill!

Unwinding Day!

After a very long week of working and school it feels great just to be home and spend time with Kyle. Kyle worked out of town this week, so its nice to have him back home. We just got back from the Snake River on Sunday and haven't really had time to recoup.
Tomorrow we are heading off to my parents to set out in Abbie's Ark (my Papas boat!) And take her out for a spin!
I have finished yet another class from my masters! Two down a million to go! Hahahaha. I also got great news this week that I will be started at the Yankton School this Fall! All my undergrad degree paid off!
Well I'm off to watch a movie and snuggle with Kyle and the cats!- who haven't left me alone all week due to us being gone for 5 days! But we still love them!

Have a great night!

Hugs!
